(PLEASE NOTE: I have heard numerous rumors on what Vin's real name may be.  However, I know for a fact, as Vin himself has stated in numerous interviews, that he does not tell people his real name in order to keep his professional and private lives seperate.  I refuse to publish his name as anything other than Vin Diesel until such time as I see Vin credited under a different name in a movie in order to respect his choice. Please do not e-mail me telling me that I have his name 'wrong' or that it is in whatever magazine.  I will not be changing it.)

Vin's Career: Vin started acting at the age of 7 at the "Theatre of the New City".  He also worked as a bouncer for 9 years while doing off-off-off Broadway theatre.  He got his big break when his short film "Multi-Facial" (which Vin wrote, produced, directed, and acted in) went to the Cannes Film Festival.  Steven Spielberg saw the film and was so impressed with Vin's talent that he had a character specially written into the blockbuster "Saving Private Ryan".  Vin also wrote, produced, directed, and stared in a film called "Strays" which was shown at the Sundance Film Festival.  Vin has since been in several big films, such as the lead character in "Pitch Black" and its sequel, "The Chronicles of Riddick".  He currently has many projects going, including "Pacifier", in theaters March 2005, and "Hannibal" the story of the 3rd centrury General who rode an elephant across the Alps to attack Rome.  It has also been said that Vin has another movie, "Doormen", which he wrote, about his days as a bouncer for some of the hippest clubs in New York that he would like to both direct and star in.  However, due to his current busy schedule, the movie has been put on the backburner.
